Bruce Mitchell, 50, of Potters Mead, Littlehampton, was found guilty at Portsmouth Crown Court on 29 May 2026 of attempting to cause a child under 13 to see an image of sexual activity, and publishing an obscene article.

He was handed a 16-month custodial sentence, suspended for two years, and was made subject to a sexual harm prevention order. The court did not immediately disclose further details of the offending.
