Full Description

Celal Arslan, a 52-year-old man from Halewood, was sentenced at Liverpool Crown Court on 20 March 2026 following a trial where he was found guilty of committing serious sexual offences against four teenage girls in south Liverpool.

The offences, which included 15 counts of sexual assault, two counts of attempted rape, and one count of rape, occurred at an address in south Liverpool. Merseyside Police launched an investigation after reports emerged of these serious sexual crimes targeting young and vulnerable teenagers. Arslan, who denied the allegations, was ultimately convicted by a jury after evidence proved his predatory actions.

Detective Constable Nikki Brown, the officer in charge of the investigation, described Arslan as 'a sexual predator who will now spend a significant amount of time in prison for his appalling actions.' She highlighted how Arslan targeted the victims, who demonstrated remarkable strength in reporting the crimes and enduring the trial process despite the added trauma. 'Thankfully, we were able to provide enough evidence to prove his offending and a jury saw through his lies,' DC Brown stated.

Arslan resides at Ditton Drive in Halewood, Merseyside. The sentencing brings some measure of justice to the victims and their families, as confirmed by the police statement issued on 20 March 2026.
