Full Description

Tahir Mansley, 27, was sentenced to 25 months in prison at Bradford Crown Court for possessing thousands of indecent pictures and videos of children, including depictions of babies and toddlers. His Honour Judge Chris Smith deemed the offending 'just too serious' for a suspended sentence, particularly given Mansley's engagement in sexualised conversations with a 14-year-old boy while under police investigation.

The teenager in question was an undercover police officer acting as a decoy, highlighting Mansley's intent to groom minors. West Yorkshire Police uncovered the extensive collection of child abuse material during their probe into Mansley's activities.

In addition to the prison term, Mansley was required to sign the sex offenders register for 10 years. The case illustrates the vigilance of law enforcement in monitoring and prosecuting individuals involved in the distribution and possession of indecent images of children.
