Nicholas Edwards

A man from Llanon in Ceredigion has been imprisoned following his conviction for a serious sexual offence. Nicholas Edwards, aged 55, of Stryd Yr Eglwys, was charged with sexual assault by penetration after an incident that occurred in December 2023. The case was heard at Swansea Crown Court, where Edwards was found guilty at trial, though he was acquitted of other related matters.

The court learned that Edwards committed the offence while under the influence of alcohol, which was highlighted as an aggravating factor during the proceedings. Judge Huw Rees described Edwards as a 'lonely' and 'depressed' individual with no previous convictions.
