Jordan Gouldmartin

Jordan Gouldmartin, a 31-year-old resident of Ludlow Drive in the Wigan borough, was convicted of sexually abusing a 13-year-old boy. The case, which highlighted the bravery of the young victim, culminated in a trial at Manchester Crown Court where Gouldmartin was found guilty by a jury despite his denial of the charges.

The abuse came to light when the victim courageously reported the horrific incident to the police. Greater Manchester Police launched an investigation led by Detective Constable Jennifer Bradley, who praised the victim's strength in securing justice. The court proceedings underscored the gravity of the offence, with the judge imposing a five-year custodial sentence on Gouldmartin. He will serve two-thirds of this term before becoming eligible for parole, followed by a five-year licence period upon release.

In addition to the prison term, the court issued a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and a lifetime restraining order to safeguard the victim from any further harm. DC Bradley stated, 'We welcome the sentence handed down at Crown Court. This outcome reflects the gravity of the offence and the importance of safeguarding vulnerable members of our community.'
