Full Description

George Cordell, a 32-year-old man from Boston in Lincolnshire, was sentenced at Lincoln Crown Court on 16 March 2026 for a series of serious sexual offences committed against a young girl under the age of 13.

The offences took place in the Boston area between August 2024 and September 2025. Cordell was arrested in September 2025 and charged on 11 November 2025. During a hearing on 22 December 2025, he pleaded guilty to all charges and was remanded into custody pending sentencing.

Cordell was convicted on two counts of raping a girl under 13, two counts of assault by penetration of a girl under 13, and two counts of sexual touching of a girl under 13. Following his guilty pleas, he received a custodial sentence of 12 years and six months. He will also serve an additional four years on licence upon release, be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register, and subject to an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). Additionally, a restraining order was imposed against him.

The investigation was led by Detective Constable Sabooha Richeux of Lincolnshire Police, who commended the victim's bravery in a statement: “We’d like to thank the victim for her bravery throughout the difficult steps of what was a highly emotional and sensitive case. Her strength and courage made such an impact to our investigation, which meant that we were able to secure an arrest, a charge and ultimately convict the man responsible for the crime.” This case underscores the commitment of Lincolnshire Police to pursuing justice in child sexual abuse matters.
