Kristopher Jane, 31, from Bristol, has been sentenced to 22 years in prison for a series of depraved sexual offences against children, including the sexual abuse of a toddler. The case came to light after police discovered appalling footage on Jane's phone, showing him assaulting the crying toddler in the back of a van while a 17-year-old girl filmed the incident. Judge David Farrell at Cambridge Crown Court described Jane as a 'dangerous and sickening paedophile' during the sentencing hearing.

The footage, which was branded 'appalling and depraved' by the judge, captured the toddler's distress as the child tried to push Jane's hand away.
