Offence Summary

Raeshon Dean Everton Rose was convicted of multiple child sex offences including rape and sexual assault against four young girls, receiving a six-and-a-half-year custodial sentence in his absence after fleeing the country.

Full Description

Raeshon Dean Everton Rose, a 24-year-old man from Northampton, was sentenced to six-and-a-half years in prison for a series of serious sexual offences against four young girls. The abuse, which began when Rose was a teenager, spanned six years and involved repeated acts of sexual assault, forcing the victims to perform oral sex, and child rape.

The case came to light in 2021 when one of the victims bravely disclosed the abuse to a friend, prompting a police investigation by Northamptonshire Police. This led to the identification of three additional girls who had been sexually abused by Rose. He was charged with eight counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, five counts of child rape, and one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

Rose pleaded not guilty and faced trial at Northampton Crown Court in May of the previous year. The jury found him guilty on all counts. However, Rose failed to appear for his sentencing hearing last summer, having gone on the run. He was sentenced in absentia by Her Honour Judge Rebecca Crane.

Subsequently, Rose breached his bail conditions by missing three court hearings on 20 May, 19 June, and 28 August of the previous year. On 20 March 2026, during a hearing at Northampton Crown Court, Paul Prior, representing the Crown Prosecution Service, successfully applied to add three offences under the Bail Act 1976 to Rose's arrest warrant. Judge Crane approved the addition, stating that Rose could now be extradited on all charges if located abroad.

Northamptonshire Police believe Rose has fled the country, and his current whereabouts remain unknown. The force has urged the public to contact them on 101 with any information regarding his location. Rose, formerly residing at The Headlands in Northampton, is described as a convicted paedophile wanted for these grave offences.
