Full Description

A 39-year-old man from Coventry has been sentenced to prison for possessing and distributing indecent images of children. Sebastian Ross-Sturman was investigated by West Midlands Police's Online Child Exploitation Team (OCSET) following the discovery of his online activities in 2021.

The investigation began after Ross-Sturman uploaded Category A indecent images—the most severe classification—to the internet. Category A images depict the most explicit and harmful abuse of children. He was arrested in 2022 and charged with multiple counts of making indecent images. Upon examination of his devices, authorities uncovered over 100 indecent images and videos of children, alongside extreme pornography.

Ross-Sturman pleaded guilty to the offences at Warwick Crown Court. On 20 November 2024, he was sentenced to two years and six months' imprisonment. In addition to the custodial sentence, he received a lifetime sexual harm prevention order to restrict his future behaviour and protect the public.
