Full Description

A Fife funeral director, Alex Little, 49, of Pentland Avenue, Kennoway, has faced further legal consequences following his prior conviction for a sexual offence. Last year, Little was placed on the Sex Offenders Register for five years after admitting to sexual assault at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court. The assault occurred on May 6, 2023, when he cuddled his victim, unclipped her bra, and fondled her breasts while she was intoxicated and incapable of giving consent in her Methil home.

His sentence at the time included 160 hours of unpaid work and 12 months of offender supervision, reflecting the court's recognition of the seriousness of the non-consensual act. However, Little's compliance with post-conviction requirements faltered when he failed to notify police about his travel plans to Turkey before departing on October 10, 2023. He also admitted to not providing certain information within three days of the relevant date and failing to attend and complete his initial notification requirements.

Little appeared again at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court for these breaches of his sex offender notification obligations. Prosecutor details highlighted the importance of such notifications to ensure monitoring of registered offenders. In court, Sheriff Robert More admonished Little on both charges, opting not to impose additional punitive measures beyond the warning, as reported in The Courier court round-up on the case adjournment and related proceedings.
