Aaron Nobbs

Aaron Nobbs, a 36-year-old resident of Mill Croft Close in New Costessey, Norfolk, faced Norwich Crown Court after pleading guilty to serious sexual offences involving child abuse material.

The court heard that Nobbs had downloaded hundreds of indecent images and videos depicting sexual activity against youngsters, including 194 category A images—the most severe classification, which involves penetrative sex, pain, torture, or severe humiliation. Police public protection officers discovered that Nobbs had set up a secret internet cloud account and wiped the search history of a tablet device, actions that constituted breaches of his existing Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

Nobbs was subject to the SHPO following a previous conviction in 2024, where he received a 16-month suspended sentence for possession of indecent child images. He pleaded guilty to three counts of making indecent images and two breaches of the SHPO. His sentencing, originally scheduled at Norwich Crown Court, was adjourned until 2 June to allow for further investigations.

The court was informed that police were consulting with the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) regarding the contents of a seized Samsung phone, with anticipation of additional charges. This case highlights ongoing efforts by Norfolk Constabulary to combat child sexual exploitation through rigorous enforcement of protective orders and digital forensics.
