Offence Summary

David Robins breached a sexual harm prevention order shortly after release by possessing a sexualised image of a child cartoon character, leading to his return to prison.

Full Description

David Robins, 26, of Abingdon Road, Oxford, was sent back to prison at Oxford Crown Court on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, after admitting to three breaches of a sexual harm prevention order. The order had been imposed in November 2023 following his possession of a sexualised picture of Lisa Simpson, the eight-year-old cartoon character from The Simpsons.

Robins had been released less than a week before the latest breaches, having previously been jailed in July 2024 for similar violations. The court heard details of his repeated non-compliance, demonstrating a failure to adhere to restrictions designed to prevent further sexual offending.

Thames Valley Police monitored Robins under the order, and their swift response to the breaches ensured his immediate re-incarceration. This case highlights the importance of robust post-release supervision for sex offenders.
