William Berry

William Berry, a 29-year-old man from Letchworth in Hertfordshire, was sentenced to 13 years in prison for arranging and facilitating the rape of a child. The offence took place in Gravesend, Kent, between 27 February and 20 March 2024.

At Maidstone Crown Court, Berry was found guilty of arranging and facilitating the commission of a child sex offence, specifically rape. He also received concurrent sentences of 18 months for distributing a Category A video of a child and 12 months for distributing a Category B video of a child. In addition to his custodial sentence, Berry was issued an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order and placed on the sex offenders' register for life.

The case was investigated by Kent Police, who detailed how Berry's actions involved the orchestration of a serious sexual offence against a child.
