Offence Summary

Jordan Allport, a registered sex offender from Redcar, was jailed for using a fake name and failing to notify police of address changes to conceal his prior sexual offences against children.

Full Description

Jordan Allport, a 24-year-old registered sex offender from Redcar, North Yorkshire, was sentenced to 26 months in prison for breaching the conditions of his sex offenders' register by using a false identity and failing to report changes of address.

In 2021, Allport received a suspended sentence at Teesside Crown Court for serious sexual offences committed in 2016 when he was a teenager. These included inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual assault, and sexual activity with a child. As part of his sentence, he was placed on the sex offenders' register for 10 years and required to notify police of any change in name or address where he stayed for seven days or longer. He was also ordered to complete 24 rehabilitation activity days.

However, in 2025, police discovered that Allport had been using the alias 'Jordan Foster' to hide his criminal history and had stayed at another address on multiple occasions without informing authorities. This breach came to light after police were notified of his use of the fake name. Allport was arrested shortly thereafter. Additionally, he had failed to comply with a separate community order by not attending required unpaid work sessions; in January 2024, he was ordered to complete 100 hours of unpaid work for spitting at a police officer but only managed 55 hours.

Allport appeared via video link from HMP Holme House at Teesside Crown Court on Thursday, where he pleaded guilty to three counts of failing to comply with notification requirements. Prosecutor Joel Wootten outlined the conditions of Allport's register and the specifics of the breaches, stating: 'As part of his conditions, [Allport] must notify police of any change of name or address where he stays for seven days or longer.'

In mitigation, defence barrister Rebecca Rowlands argued that Allport had used the fake name because he 'wished for a fresh start' and had shown remorse. She noted: 'He has demonstrated a level of remorse for his actions' and highlighted his early guilty plea. Recorder Mark Giuliani rejected the mitigation and imposed a custodial sentence of 26 months, ensuring Allport remains on the sex offenders' register.

The case was reported by Teesside Live, with details confirmed through Cleveland Police and court records. Allport, of New Common Terrace, Redcar, was a registered sex offender at the time of the breaches.
