Full Description

John Keeble, a 43-year-old man from Lowestoft, Suffolk, has been found guilty by unanimous verdict of 10 serious sexual offences against a child at Ipswich Crown Court. The charges encompass three counts of oral rape, three offences of taking indecent images of children, three offences of making pseudo indecent images of children, and one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity. The abuse spanned a period of five years, during which Keeble subjected his victim to repeated sexual exploitation.

During the trial, the court heard harrowing details of Keeble's actions. He forced the child victim to perform a sex act on him while holding the door to the room closed to prevent escape. Additionally, authorities discovered more than 200 pseudo indecent images on Keeble's phone, created by superimposing a child's face onto the body of a naked woman. Shockingly, 20 of these images utilised doctored photographs of the victim's mother, highlighting the depth of Keeble's depravity and personal targeting.

The case came to light through an investigation by Suffolk Police, leading to Keeble's arrest and subsequent trial at Ipswich Crown Court. Recorder Jeremy Benson presided over the proceedings and, following the guilty verdict on Friday, remanded Keeble in custody. Sentencing is scheduled for 24 November 2024, where the full extent of his punishment will be determined. This conviction underscores the ongoing efforts to combat child sexual abuse in the region.
