Norfolk Constabulary's digital forensics team analysed the content, confirming the extreme nature of the images, which included category A material—the most severe classification. Radu was arrested and faced multiple charges under legislation prohibiting indecent images of children.

'The scale of this collection is shocking and indicates a deep-seated interest in child abuse,' commented the lead investigator. The court sentenced him to custody, with considerations for his role in potentially sharing the material.
