Offence Summary

Harley Drew and her partner were sentenced for making over 300 indecent images of children in Swindon.

Full Description

A couple from Swindon, Mitchell Thomas and Harley Drew, have been sentenced at court for possessing and making hundreds of indecent images of children. The case came to light following an investigation by Wiltshire Police, who discovered over 300 such images on devices seized from the pair.

The court heard that the images included category A material, the most serious classification, depicting severe abuse of young children. Prosecutor Sarah Dalton detailed how the couple had actively downloaded and stored this illegal content over a period of time. 'This is a grave offence that exploits the most vulnerable in society,' the judge remarked during the hearing on 11th March.

Harley Drew, appearing in court, showed little remorse according to reports from the Wilts and Gloucestershire Standard. The sentencing reflects the severity of the crime, with both individuals receiving custodial terms to deter such behaviour and protect children from exploitation. Sources close to the case confirmed that the images were sourced from online networks known for distributing child abuse material.
