Full Description

Luke Webster, aged 24 and of no fixed abode, was involved in a series of sexual assaults investigated by West Yorkshire Police. The offences included incidents in Bradford and Kirklees, West Yorkshire.

On 5 August 2022, a sexual assault occurred on Bank Street in Bradford, where a woman was attacked. Detectives released CCTV images of two men in connection with the incident. While one man remains unidentified and the public is urged to assist in locating him, Webster was identified through the footage.

Webster faced charges for a number of offences, some related to the Bradford assault and others stemming from a separate matter in Kirklees. Following extensive enquiries by West Yorkshire Police, he was brought to trial. In September, he was convicted on multiple counts of sexual assault. The court imposed a custodial sentence of 12 years, with an additional 3 years on licence. Furthermore, Webster was ordered to sign the sex offenders register for life, reflecting the severity of his crimes.

The case highlights ongoing police efforts to combat sexual offences in the region, with the Bradford incident forming part of broader investigations into predatory behaviour. West Yorkshire Police confirmed the details in their official appeal, emphasising the importance of community assistance in identifying remaining suspects.
