The offences occurred in 2008 and 2009, as part of a grooming gang's systematic abuse of a child victim in Keighley, who was groomed with alcohol.

This sentencing contributed to the 66-year total for six men convicted in the operation led by West Yorkshire Police after the victim's adult disclosure. The case revealed a network of perpetrators engaging in sexual exploitation and rape.

Judge Andrew Hatton underscored the victim's severe psychological damage during the hearing. Sabir's punishment reflects the court's stance on such predatory behaviour against vulnerable minors.
