Offence Summary

Jennifer Rochford engaged in sexual acts with dogs at her husband's encouragement, administered an online community for sharing extreme pornography, and possessed thousands of bestiality images.

Full Description

Jennifer Rochford, 42, participated in abhorrent acts of bestiality alongside her husband Daniel in their flat above a former veterinary practice in Penwortham, Lancashire. The crimes came to light following a police investigation by Lancashire Police, which revealed a cache of extreme pornographic material on their devices.

At the direction of her husband, Jennifer had sex with their dogs, with the acts being recorded and shared within an online pervert community that she administered. The couple derived sexual pleasure from these depraved activities, as evidenced by the footage and their commentary. Preston Crown Court heard that Jennifer possessed 1,764 extreme pornographic images involving bestiality. Judge Guy Mathieson described her involvement, stating, "The footage and commentary shows exactly how much sexual delight and pleasure you both derived from these acts. It is sickening." He noted that she performed the acts as much for her own pleasure as for her husband's, adding, "You saw it as part of your relationship... You loved him and you would do it. It didn't take force, coercion, or manipulation. You never showed any reluctance or refusal to participate. You lost any sense of decency or morality."

Jennifer pleaded guilty to eight counts of bestiality and possession of extreme pornography. Although her actions were intertwined with her husband's more severe offences, including child sex abuse, her role focused on the bestiality and distribution of related material. The court emphasised her willing participation, blinded by love for Daniel.
