Offence Summary

A Rugby man who admitted multiple child sex offences including distributing and making indecent images of children and arranging to meet another offender to sexually abuse a child.

Full Description

Christopher Trezise, 46, from Rugby, was sentenced at Warwick Crown Court on 7 May 2026 after pleading guilty to a series of child sex offences.

Police investigations, led by the Online Child Sexual Exploitation Team (OCSET), uncovered that Trezise had been distributing indecent images online. Forensic analysis of devices seized from him revealed he was an active participant in online networks and forums, where he regularly discussed abusing children and babies. In total, more than 1,000 illegal images were recovered from his devices.

Trezise was also found to have engaged in sexual communication with a child and had arranged to meet another offender for the purpose of sexually abusing a child. He was charged with arranging or facilitating the commission of a child sex offence (sexual assault of a child), making and distributing indecent photographs of children across Categories A, B, and C, possessing an extreme pornographic image, and engaging in sexual communication with a child.

At Warwick Crown Court, Trezise was sentenced to ten years and six months in prison, with an extended licence period of four years after being identified as a dangerous offender. He was also made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) for 15 years and required to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.

Detective Sergeant Jag Gill, the investigating officer, stated: “Trezise is a prolific offender who thought the anonymity of the internet would mask the despicable level of his offending. The extreme level of content recovered from his devices was horrendous, and demonstrated a clear pattern of repeated and intentional behaviour and this severity was reflected in the length of his sentence.”
