Offence Summary

Nathan Glover was convicted of sexually assaulting and inciting sexual activity with children under 13 between 2006 and 2011 in Leicester and Skegness, and was jailed for 15 years at Leicester Crown Court.

Full Description

Nathan Glover, a 46-year-old man from Ardbeg Road in Rothesay on the Isle of Bute, was sentenced to 15 years in prison following his conviction for multiple child sex offences committed over a decade earlier.

The offending came to light in 2021 when one of Glover's victims reported the abuse to Leicestershire Police. As the investigation by the Child Abuse Investigation Unit’s non-recent team progressed, two additional victims came forward, disclosing that they had been sexually abused by Glover during their childhood. The offences occurred between 2006 and 2011 in locations including Leicester and Skegness.

Despite denying any wrongdoing during police interviews, Glover was charged with several counts related to the abuse. He maintained his innocence throughout the legal proceedings, but on 27 November 2025, a jury at Leicester Crown Court found him guilty of three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13 and two counts of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity.

On 11 March 2026, Glover appeared for sentencing at Leicester Crown Court, where he was jailed for 15 years. In addition to the custodial sentence, he was made subject to a restraining order and a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) to protect the public from further harm.

Detective Sergeant Anna Sherwin, the officer in the case from the Child Abuse Investigation Unit, commented on the impact of the case, stating: “The victims in this case have lived their lives knowing what happened to them for a considerable amount of time and had to re-live their ordeal in front of a jury.” This outcome, reported by Leicestershire Police, underscores the long-term pursuit of justice for historical child sex offences.
