Siah Riley, a 35-year-old man from Derby, admitted to committing 164 online child sex offences against more than 130 children. The offences came to light following his arrest by Derbyshire Police in 2023, initially in connection with child sex offences against two victims.

Upon seizing Riley's electronic devices, officers uncovered a vast collection of material documenting at least 132 victims. This led to the discovery of additional incriminating evidence, prompting further charges. Riley, residing on Walbrook Road in Derby, had previously pleaded guilty to 20 child sex offences during separate hearings in February and April of the previous year.

On 18 February, at Derby Crown Court, Riley entered guilty pleas to 144 new counts. These included 117 offences of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, 22 counts of blackmail, and five counts of engaging in sexual communication with a child. The court proceedings highlighted the extensive nature of the online exploitation, with Derbyshire Police describing the material as a 'huge catalogue' of abuse.

Riley is due to be sentenced on 7 May, where the full extent of his punishment will be determined. Derbyshire Police's investigation underscores the ongoing efforts to combat online child sexual exploitation in the region.
