Full Description

Stefan Dobandi, a 20-year-old man of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Mold Crown Court on 24 March 2026 for a series of horrific sexual offences committed against two teenage girls in Flintshire, North Wales.

Between May and June 2025, Dobandi targeted the victims on separate occasions while they slept. In the early hours of 1 June 2025, he unlawfully entered an address where one of the teenage girls was sleeping, climbed into her bed, and raped her. The victim awoke to find herself partly undressed with Dobandi beside her. The previous month, in May 2025, another teenage girl woke up in her bed to discover Dobandi raping her.

Following the assaults, Dobandi sent voice messages to one of the victims admitting to what he had done, providing crucial evidence for the investigation. At a hearing in February 2026, he pleaded guilty to three counts of rape and two counts of taking an indecent photograph or pseudo-photograph of a child.

On 24 March 2026, Dobandi was jailed for 10 years, with an additional two-year extended licence period. He received 10-year restraining orders to protect the victims, an indefinite sexual harm prevention order, and was made subject to notification requirements for life as a sex offender.

Detective Constable Guto Hughes, the investigating officer from North Wales Police, described Dobandi as 'a predator who is a danger to women.' He commended the victims for their courage in reporting the crimes, stating, 'There is no doubt these horrific offences will likely impact his victims forever... Tackling violence against women and girls remains a foremost priority for North Wales Police.' The case was reported via the official North Wales Police website, highlighting their commitment to pursuing justice and protecting communities.
