Offence Summary

Serial sex offender sentenced to 8 years and 11 months for attempted rape, sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration against two victims.

Full Description

Victor Komolafe, 35, was sentenced to 8 years and 11 months’ imprisonment at Woolwich Crown Court on Wednesday, 3 June 2026, after being convicted of four counts of sexual abuse. The charges comprised one count of attempted rape, one count of sexual assault, and two counts of assault by penetration, relating to two complainants unknown to each other. Komolafe was identified as a high-risk offender through the Metropolitan Police’s V100 programme, which uses data and intelligence to target the 100 individuals posing the greatest risk to women and girls in London. Detectives employed tactics drawn from counter-terrorism policing to bring him to justice.

Komolafe was first arrested by the Met in August 2023 after a victim reported sexual assault. He denied the allegations, claiming the activity was consensual and initiated by the complainant. Just one month later, in September 2023, a second victim came forward to report sexual abuse of a similar nature. It was later established that Komolafe used aliases such as ‘Ghost’ and ‘Xavier’ and deliberately withheld his real name, address and identity from those he targeted. Forensic analysis proved crucial: investigators found Komolafe’s semen on the second complainant’s clothing, contradicting his denials. The second victim also revealed that Komolafe had denied her food and water in order to incapacitate her, and that some of the offences took place inside a car belonging to his partner.

One of the victims issued a public appeal, saying: “Anyone who was hurt by Komolafe – he won’t be able to hurt you now. Try and find strength to do that. It’s not right to let people like him get away with crimes like this.” She urged any other potential victims to speak up, adding: “Even if you’re not sure, report it.”

As part of the V100 operation, Komolafe’s case was prioritised because his offending pattern showed an escalating level of danger. Since the programme’s launch in 2023, 208 nominals had been convicted up to the end of April 2026. Detective Constable Jo Cheung and Detective Constable Helen Cordes, who worked on the investigation, said in a statement: “Komolafe would hide behind a guise of familiarity and friendship with his victims; this enabled him to exploit his formed connections and target these women for his abusive crimes. The bravery of both victims coming forward emphasises their strength of character, and their willingness to speak out against abusers such as Komolafe. Their courage and determination enabled our investigation to achieve the justice they desperately deserved.”

In addition to his prison sentence, Komolafe will remain on the sex offenders register for life and was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order of indefinite duration.
