Full Description

William Thomas Bottoms, 29, of Sycamore Avenue, Upminster, appeared at Snaresbrook Crown Court on 21 May 2025 via video link from prison, where he pleaded guilty to multiple child sex offences.

Bottoms admitted one count of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and two counts of engaging in sexual communication with children. He also admitted breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) that had been imposed following a previous conviction in 2022.

The offences occurred in October 2024, when Bottoms engaged in sexual communication with two children, including inciting one of them to perform a sex act on themselves.

During the hearing, the Crown Prosecution Service confirmed it would offer no evidence on further charges of causing or inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity and another breach of the SHPO. Bottoms is due to appear for sentencing in July 2025.

The case was reported by the Romford Recorder, with images provided by the Metropolitan Police.
