Full Description

Stephen Thomas, 29, from Straker Avenue, Ellesmere Port, carried out a repulsive campaign of sexual abuse against a seven-year-old child. His actions left the victim and her family deeply traumatised, forcing them to relive the ordeals during a trial as Thomas denied the allegations.

Following a police report, officers arrested Thomas and seized his electronic devices, which contained indecent images of children. Despite his denials, he was found guilty of three counts of sexual touching of a child and two counts of producing indecent images of children at Liverpool Crown Court. The prosecution emphasised the callous nature of his behaviour, which prolonged the suffering of the young victim and her family.

Thomas was sentenced to eight and a half years in prison. The Liverpool Echo reported on this case as part of a series on Wirral paedophiles brought to justice in 2021, underscoring the devastating impact of such crimes on young lives.
