Offence Summary

Jack Weller, a convicted child sex offender, was arrested for downloading additional indecent images of children and breaching his Sexual Harm Prevention Order by deleting images from his device.

Full Description

Jack Weller, 32, from Brentwood, Essex, had previously been convicted in October 2024 of an offence relating to indecent images of children, resulting in a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO) being imposed upon him. Despite this, less than a year later, Weller was arrested again after downloading more indecent images of children, breaching the conditions of his SHPO.

Following his arrest, Weller was taken into custody for questioning. Investigations revealed that he had deleted images in violation of his order. A thorough review of his device uncovered nine category A images—the most severe classification—and four category B images of child sexual abuse material. Weller was charged with these offences and subsequently pleaded guilty.

In September 2025, at a court hearing reported by the Romford Recorder, Weller was sentenced to two years and two months' imprisonment. He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years. The case highlights the ongoing risks posed by repeat offenders, with Essex Police confirming the details of the arrest and conviction.
