Full Description

Saqib Younis, known as Saqi Butcher, aged 29 from Bradford Street, Lawkholme, Keighley, was found guilty of raping the vulnerable schoolgirl in the Keighley gang case spanning 2011-2012. He was sentenced to 13 years for one count of rape against the 13-14-year-old victim.

Involved in the Dalton Lane gang rapes arranged by Arif Choudhury, Younis contributed to the exploitation of the girl. The Bradford Crown Court trial, ending in December the previous year, revealed the men's heartless actions, as per Judge Roger Thomas.

The investigation by West Yorkshire Police detailed the 13 months of abuse, with the judge criticising the defendants' arrogant courtroom behaviour mirroring their treatment of the victim.

'The attitudes that the majority of you have so clearly demonstrated to these proceedings has been contemptuous, disrespectful and arrogant,' the judge commented.
