Full Description

In Oxford, from 1998 to 2005, Haji Khan was part of a gang that groomed and sexually exploited teenage girls, using flattery, drugs, alcohol, threats, and violence to facilitate the abuses and force victims into sexual encounters with various men.

Haji Khan, 38, of The Willows, Oxford, was found guilty of conspiracy to rape within the framework of over 20 offences committed by the group. Judge Peter Ross at Oxford Crown Court described the environment of fear and the normalisation of sexual abuse. The case was extensively reported by the BBC on 27 March 2018, including details of the gang's operations.

Victims' courage in the face of violence was noted by the NSPCC. Khan's conviction underscores his role in planning and enabling the offences.
