A former scout leader, Silvester from Brighton, has been sentenced to 16 years' imprisonment for sexually assaulting 19 boys. He was found guilty of 79 offences following a trial at Lewes Crown Court on 20 November 2024.

The offences involved the sexual abuse of young boys during his time as a scout leader. The case was prosecuted by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) following an investigation by Sussex Police.
