Offence Summary

Former Metropolitan Police officer who was sentenced for sexual assault and attempted sexual assault against a teenage boy.

Full Description

Former Metropolitan Police constable Grant Fulker, aged 32, was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court on 29 May 2026 after being found guilty of sexual assault and attempted sexual assault against a teenage boy. The offences occurred in a hotel room at Heathrow between 12 and 13 February 2024.

Fulker, who had been attached to the Met’s Specialist Operations Command, was also convicted of three counts of misconduct in public office. These charges related to sexualised WhatsApp messages he sent to the victim while acting as a Met volunteer police cadet leader. It was further proven that Fulker had sent similar messages to a second teenage boy.

Following a five-day trial, Fulker was convicted by a jury on 9 January 2026. He had previously pleaded guilty to the misconduct charges. On 29 May 2026, he was sentenced to 15 months’ imprisonment. He was also placed on the sex offenders’ register for 10 years and received a five-year Sexual Harm Protection Order (SHPO).

Fulker had already been dismissed from the Metropolitan Police in March 2024 following an accelerated misconduct hearing. He was found to have committed gross misconduct in relation to discreditable conduct and authority, respect and courtesy. He was placed on the College of Policing’s barred list, preventing future employment with police or related oversight bodies.

Commander Pete Stevens stated: “Former PC Fulker used his role to target and manipulate young people who should have been able to trust him. His behaviour was calculated, predatory and a gross abuse of his position.” The investigation was led by the Met’s public protection team and relied on victim testimony, witness accounts, and digital evidence from Fulker’s phone.
