Bilal Azzi and Tayeb Battaher found a missing teenage girl near a McDonald's, pretended to help her, but instead plied her with alcohol and drugs before engaging in sexual activity with her. The victim was later rescued by police after being spotted looking distressed in a takeaway.

Merseyside Police linked the men to the missing persons appeal. At Liverpool Crown Court, both were convicted of engaging in sexual activity with a child; Azzi additionally for taking indecent images. Azzi appeared remotely from HMP Liverpool.
