Full Description

Nicholas Fisher, a 43-year-old former music teacher from Hereford, has been imprisoned for committing serious sexual offences against children. On Wednesday, he was sentenced to two and a half years in prison at Worcester Crown Court after being found guilty of sexually assaulting two girls under the age of 13. The court also convicted him on eight charges of making indecent images of children, which were discovered within guides detailing how to groom or abuse children.

Fisher, residing at Hollylea Close in Hereford, had previously pleaded guilty to separate counts of making indecent images of children found in one of the paedophile manuals. During the trial, he was acquitted of five additional counts of sexual assault. The offences were committed by Fisher while he was in a position of trust, exploiting vulnerable young people, as highlighted by the prosecution.

Detective Constable Paul Cowmeadow from West Mercia Police commented on the case, stating: 'These were offences committed against vulnerable young people by a person in a position of trust. Anyone who possesses a guide on how to groom or abuse children is clearly a risk to our community and this is demonstrated in Fisher's case by the offences he committed.' The investigation was led by West Mercia Police, underscoring the severity of Fisher's actions and the possession of materials that posed a significant threat to child safety.

The case came to light through the discovery of the incriminating materials and reports of the assaults, leading to Fisher's arrest and subsequent trial. This sentencing serves as a stark reminder of the legal consequences for individuals who exploit their positions to perpetrate sexual offences against minors. Court records from HM Courts & Tribunals Service confirm the details of the conviction and sentence.
