Full Description

Michael Hargrave, a 31-year-old man from Edgware, has been imprisoned for 13 years and eight months following his admission to committing sexual offences against two children in Hertfordshire. The case came to light after one of the victims reported the abuse to authorities.

Hargrave, residing on Loch Crescent in Edgware, was arrested by Hertfordshire Police on May 11, 2023, at an address in Kings Langley. He had been using an online alias to communicate with the children via platforms like Snapchat. Investigations revealed he had groomed and engaged in sexual activity with a child who reported the incident, and officers identified and safeguarded a second victim in the county.

Appearing at St Albans Crown Court in August 2023, Hargrave pleaded guilty to the charges.
