Offence Summary

Alissa Sattentau, a teaching assistant, engaged in sexual activity and communication with a 14-year-old pupil, receiving a two-year community order.

Full Description

Alissa Sattentau, 22, whose address was given as Thistlewaite Road, London, was sentenced at Oxford Crown Court on Friday, October 24, 2025, for sexual offences against a 14-year-old pupil while working as a teaching assistant at a school. She pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual activity with a child, one count of causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one count of engaging in sexual communication with a child.

The court heard that Sattentau, who played football locally, had kissed the pupil and sent sexual messages, developing a relationship that exceeded appropriate boundaries. Although involving a minor, the judge opted for a non-custodial outcome, handing down a two-year community order with 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days and 180 hours of unpaid work within 12 months.

The case was investigated by Thames Valley Police in collaboration with authorities in London, addressing the breach of trust in an educational setting. Sattentau's youth and lack of prior convictions influenced the suspended nature of the penalty.
