Full Description

A 20-year-old man from Milford Haven has admitted to exposing his genitals and sending an obscene message to a woman, leading to court proceedings at Swansea Crown Court.

Uwen Watts, residing on Coombs Drive in Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire, appeared before the court charged with three offences related to an incident on 14 February. The charges included exposure of his genitals, sending by a public communication network an offensive, indecent, obscene, or menacing message, and attempted sexual assault. According to court reports from the Western Telegraph, Watts pleaded guilty to the charges of exposure and sending the obscene message but denied the attempted sexual assault charge.

The prosecution accepted these pleas, stating that no trial would be pursued on the remaining charge of attempted sexual assault. The case was adjourned to allow for the preparation of a pre-sentence report, with Watts granted bail in the interim. He is scheduled to return to Swansea Crown Court on 21 November for sentencing.

This incident highlights concerns over public exposure and online harassment, with the court taking the matter seriously enough to proceed despite the partial denial. Local reporting by court and crime reporter Tom Moody emphasises the gravity of the admitted offences, which fall under sexual misconduct categories in UK law.
