Adrian White

Adrian White, aged 47, of Sandringham Road, London, sexually assaulted an 18-year-old woman on a train after directing a stream of unwanted and inappropriate comments at her and her friends. The incident occurred on the afternoon of 27 June 2025, while the victim was travelling with friends on a service from Birmingham New Street to London Euston.

White entered the same carriage and began making lewd conversation with the group before targeting the victim with explicit remarks. When the victim stood up to leave the train at Coventry, White sexually assaulted her. The victim and her friends reported the attack to rail staff immediately, and White was ejected from the train at the next stop. He was later arrested by British Transport Police (BTP) officers, who secured a sexual assault charge against him.

At Highbury Magistrates’ Court on 26 May 2026, White pleaded guilty to one count of sexual assault. He was sentenced to eight months' imprisonment and ordered to sign the sex offenders register for a period of 10 years. BTP Constable Dominic Johnston commented: "White’s sleazy and lewd behaviour unnerved the women who made it abundantly clear they did not wish to engage with him. Despite this, White continued to harass the group before his behaviour escalated and he sexually assaulted one of them."

Constable Johnston praised the victim's bravery and highlighted the force's commitment to tackling sexual offending on the railway network. The case was investigated by British Transport Police.
