Full Description

Luke Clark, 31, of Lydia Street, Accrington, was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after he failed to comply with his sex offender notification requirements.

Clark appeared before Preston Magistrates' Court on Monday 25 May where the case was resolved at the first hearing. He was immediately sent to prison for the breach.

Lancashire Police had issued a wanted appeal for Clark the previous week, noting that he was also wanted on recall to prison. On Sunday 24 May, police confirmed that Clark had been charged with the notification requirements offence and remanded into custody.

The court heard that Clark, of Lydia Street, Accrington, had not fulfilled the obligations placed upon him as a registered sex offender. The breach resulted in his immediate imprisonment for 24 weeks.
