Offence Summary

Tracey Louise, formerly known as Joshua Bell, was convicted of 24 child sex offences including multiple counts of rape and sexual assault against four children aged 5-15 over a nine-year period.

Full Description

A 31-year-old individual, Tracey Louise (formerly known as Joshua Bell), has been found guilty of 24 serious child sex offences following an eight-day trial at Northampton Crown Court. The offences, which spanned a nine-year period, involved repeated sexual abuse of four children aged between 5 and 15. The case came to light after the suspect publicly admitted to the crimes during a therapy group session, prompting an investigation by Northamptonshire Police.

The charges against Tracey Louise included seven counts of raping a child under 13, four counts of rape, ten counts of sexually assaulting a child under 13, and three counts of sexual assault. After just three hours of deliberation, the jury returned 24 guilty verdicts on Wednesday, 17 September 2025. The survivors demonstrated remarkable bravery in supporting the prosecution throughout the investigation and court process.

Lead investigator Detective Constable Kirstie Brooks commented on the outcome: "I am so pleased that after such a long time, the survivors in this case were believed by the jury and can finally get some closure. Although nothing can erase the years of sustained sexual abuse they suffered, they have now got justice, and I want to thank them for their patience throughout our investigation and through the court process. They have all been incredibly brave." Brooks further described the offender as "a very dangerous individual who put these children through the most horrific ordeal," expressing relief at the guilty verdicts and hope that the victims can move forward.

Sentencing is scheduled for 9 January 2026 at Northampton Crown Court. This conviction, reported by Northamptonshire Police on 23 September 2025, underscores the importance of victim support in securing justice for historical sexual abuse cases.
