Offence Summary

Adrian Walker was imprisoned for four years for engaging in sadistic online chats about child abuse and possessing prohibited images of children.

Full Description

Adrian Walker, 27, from Penzance, Cornwall, was sentenced to four years in prison at Truro Crown Court on 8 October 2025 for multiple child sexual exploitation offences. Walker pleaded guilty to five counts of publishing an obscene article, two counts of breaching a sexual harm prevention order, an attempted breach, possessing a prohibited image of a child, and attempting to cause a 13- to 15-year-old child to view an image of sexual activity.

The offences came to light following a random police search of Walker's phone, which uncovered conversations on the social media platform Discord in August 2025 containing sadistic language about child abuse. Walker was already subject to a sexual harm prevention order from August 2023, which he breached by using Discord and Reddit without permission and deleting his internet history.

On 24 May, Walker engaged with an individual he believed to be a 13-year-old girl, attempting to make her view an image of sexual activity. Police also discovered 13 still prohibited images of children and one moving image on his device. Judge Simon Carr noted during sentencing that Walker derived joy from interacting with child abuse material, even in cartoon form, stating that Walker 'could interact with the abuse of children in cartoon form and he repeated the joy he was getting from the images'.

Walker, of Alverton Road, Penzance, was placed on the sex offenders' register for life as part of the sentence imposed by Judge Carr.
