Adam Davies

A man from Swansea, South Wales, has been sentenced to an extended 30-year prison term following his conviction for a series of serious child sex offences. Adam Davies, aged 36 and residing in the Hafod area, was found guilty of abusing multiple young victims, including two girls under the age of 13, over several years. His actions were described by investigating officers as some of the most severe child abuse cases encountered in the city.

The investigation began in July 2023 when one of Davies' victims reported that she had been sexually assaulted by him during her childhood. South Wales Police seized Davies' electronic devices as part of the probe, uncovering Category A, B, and C child sexual abuse images on his laptop. Further disclosures emerged in April 2025 from a male victim who revealed he had been sexually abused by Davies between the ages of 6 and 8. These revelations highlighted a pattern of predatory behaviour targeting vulnerable children.

Davies initially pleaded not guilty to the charges but was ultimately convicted at court of the following offences: seven counts of assault of a girl under 13 by touching, two counts of engaging in non-penetrative sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 15, and three counts of possession of an indecent photograph of a child. The court imposed a 30-year extended sentence, comprising 26 years in custody with a minimum of 18 years to be served before parole consideration. In addition, Davies was made subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order and will remain on the sex offenders' register for life.

Detective Constable Stacey Jones of South Wales Police commented on the case, stating: Adam Davies’s offending is some of the worst of its kind we have seen in Swansea. He disgustingly took advantage of multiple children to act out vile acts for his own depraved sexual pleasure. He is of an immeasurable danger to children, and the streets are far safer for young people now that he has been sent to prison for a hugely significant sentence. The bravery of the victims in coming forward was praised, noting their courage in ensuring Davies could no longer pose a threat.

This case underscores the ongoing efforts by South Wales Police to combat child sexual exploitation within the community. The offences occurred over a number of years prior to the 2023 report, with the full extent revealed through victim testimonies and digital evidence analysis.
