Sidharth Nair, a Whiston Hospital staff member, raped and sexually assaulted a patient in her bed within weeks of starting, for his 'sexual gratification', telling her 'you won't see me again, it doesn't matter'.

Merseyside Police investigated the predatory attacks, leading to Nair admitting rape, assault by penetration, and two sexual assaults at Liverpool Crown Court, where he sobbed during sentencing.
