Offence Summary

Natalie Louise Dennison was involved in the kidnap, torture, sexual assault, and section 18 assault of two men in Huddersfield during July and August 2024.

Full Description

Natalie Louise Dennison, aged 45 and of no fixed address, played a central role in two brutal incidents in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, involving the kidnap, repeated assault, torture, and sexual assault of two men. The first incident occurred in July 2024, when a Kirklees man was taken to a house in the Newsome area on 10 July. He was held against his will, repeatedly tortured with weapons, and subjected to sexual assault before managing to escape on 16 July and seek help.

Police investigations began on 17 July 2024 after officers were informed of the victim's ordeal. Detailed enquiries by detectives aimed to uncover the full extent of the events, identify suspects, and safeguard the victim. Dennison admitted to offences including section 18 assault, two counts of sexual assault, and kidnap against the first victim.

The second incident took place on 7 August 2024, when another man in his 20s was seriously assaulted at an address in Huddersfield by a group including Dennison. The victim suffered severe head injuries and escaped through a window to seek medical assistance. Officers responded to the hospital after being contacted by the ambulance service and established the details of the attack.

Dennison was arrested that evening, 7 August 2024. At Leeds Crown Court on 19 January 2026, she was sentenced to 21 years' imprisonment with an additional five years on extended licence for her admitted offences in both incidents. The sentencing was welcomed by West Yorkshire Police, with DC Andy Buckingham of Kirklees CID stating: 'We welcome the sentencing of these persons today for their roles in what were dreadful offences involving shocking levels of violence. Both victims were seriously assaulted with weapons... and very much feared they could even be killed had they not escaped when they did.' The attacks left the victims with deep trauma, including long-lasting hospital treatment for the second victim's head injuries.
