Full Description

Arturas Opulskis, 41, from Wisbech, committed repeated sexual assaults by penetration on a young girl under 13 over a number of years. The abuse was disclosed when the victim told a friend, who encouraged her to confide in a trusted adult, leading to police involvement.

Cambridgeshire Constabulary arrested Opulskis, who denied the sexual assaults. The case proceeded to trial.

In September 2023, at Peterborough Crown Court, Opulskis was unanimously found guilty of assaulting a girl under 13 by penetration.
