Offence Summary

Sadnam Singh and his accomplice pinned a 14-year-old girl to a wall and sexually assaulted her while delivering a television unit.

Full Description

Sadnam Singh, aged 28 from Dunoon Drive in Wolverhampton, was jailed for two and a half years after being found guilty of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl. Alongside his co-offender Navjot Singh, they targeted the teenager during what should have been a routine delivery of a television unit.

The incident occurred when the two men, who were delivering the item, pinned the victim against a wall and carried out the assault. Lancashire Police launched an investigation following reports from the victim, leading to the arrest of both men. At Preston Crown Court Sessions House, a jury trial convicted them of sexual assault after hearing evidence detailing the traumatic event.

The court described the offence as a gross abuse of position, exploiting the vulnerability of a young girl in her own home. Singh and his co-offender showed no remorse, exacerbating the victim's distress. The sentence of two and a half years in prison reflects the seriousness of the crime, aimed at deterring such predatory actions.
