Offence Summary

Gary Fenn appeared at Norwich Magistrates' Court accused of a string of sexual offences against two girls, including rape and gross indecency, dating back to 2001–2004. He is currently serving a 14-year extended sentence for separate offences.

Full Description

Gary Fenn, 55, appeared via video link from HMP Rye Hill before Norwich Magistrates' Court on undefined, facing ten charges of historical sexual offences against two young girls.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between July 2001 and April 2004 at various locations in Norfolk, including Cromer. The charges include:

  • Two counts of rape of a child under 13: the first involving a girl aged nine, and the second a girl aged between 12 and 15.
  • Six charges of gross indecency with a child, including allegations involving penetration.
  • Two counts of inciting a girl to commit an act of gross indecency, including oral sex.

The court heard that Fenn had groomed the pre-teen girls during this period. He spoke only to confirm his name and date of birth and did not enter any pleas. The magistrates committed the case to Norwich Crown Court, with a plea and trial preparation hearing scheduled for 30 June.

At the time of the hearing, Fenn was already serving a 14-year extended sentence at HMP Rye Hill in Warwickshire, following a 2023 conviction for separate offences. He is not due for release until 2033.

The case was reported by Simon Parkin, crime correspondent for the Eastern Daily Press.
