Offence Summary

Former Woking science teacher Allan Cundick committed a range of sexual offences against women and girls.

Full Description

Allan Cundick, a former science teacher from Woking, was jailed for four-and-a-half years in January 2015 for a range of sexual offences against women and girls. In April 2016, he was banned from teaching indefinitely following the conclusion of his criminal case.

Surrey Police investigated multiple complaints of sexual misconduct spanning different victims, including both adult women and girls. Cundick was charged with various sexual offences, and the trial at Guildford Crown Court presented evidence of abusive behaviour that abused his position of authority in education.

The four-and-a-half-year sentence was imposed to punish the offences and protect potential future victims. The subsequent teaching ban ensures he cannot return to a role where he could exploit vulnerabilities again. This case demonstrates the long-term consequences for offenders in positions of trust.
