Offence Summary

Randy Ayor raped and strangled two women in Leicester over several months in 2023, using controlling behaviour and violence for his sexual gratification. He was convicted and jailed for 25 years.

Full Description

A man from Leicester has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after committing a series of violent sexual offences against two women. Randy Ayor, aged 32, targeted his victims in separate incidents throughout 2023, employing rape, strangulation, and coercive control to dominate them.

Ayor first encountered his initial victim at a nightclub in Leicester in 2023. Over the following months, he subjected her to repeated rapes. In one particularly harrowing incident, he strangled her with such force that she believed she was on the verge of losing consciousness. The second victim, whom Ayor also met in 2023, endured similar abuse, including rape and strangulation. Additionally, Ayor exhibited controlling behaviour by seizing her phone, dictating her social interactions, becoming enraged at her conversations with other men, and attempting to prevent her from visiting family during Christmas.

The victims, who did not know each other, independently reported Ayor's actions in 2024, leading to his arrest. Following a trial, Ayor was found guilty of rape, sexual assault by penetration, and intentional strangulation in relation to the first victim. For the second victim, convictions included engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour, false imprisonment, and battery. The case was handled by Detective Constable Lauren Brown of Leicestershire Police.

Detective Constable Brown commented: “It’s apparent from the accounts given by both victims that Ayor is a dangerous individual who is prepared to use violence and controlling behaviour towards women for his own sexual gratification. The information they both gave as enquiries progressed and during the trial – in which they had to re-live their ordeals – was crucial in securing a conviction. I hope that they and the wider community can take some reassurance from the fact he is now facing the consequences of his actions by way of a prison sentence.”

In addition to his 25-year custodial sentence, Ayor was issued with a 20-year restraining order to protect the victims and prevent future harm. The offences highlight the severe impact of domestic and sexual violence in the community, with Leicestershire Police emphasising the importance of victim reports in bringing perpetrators to justice. This case was reported by Molly Hookings and published on 20th June 2025 via Greatest Hits Radio's East Midlands news service.
