Offence Summary

Shahime Finch was sentenced to eight years in prison for three counts of robbery in connection with violent and sexual attacks on women in Milton Keynes and Northampton.

Full Description

On the evening of 18 January 2025, Shahime Finch, aged 26 from Linden Road, Reading, and his accomplice Muhammad Munir travelled from Reading to Milton Keynes, forcing entry into an Air BnB where two women in their thirties were staying.

Finch revealed a screwdriver to demand cash from the victims, while Munir dragged one woman into a bedroom by her hair and threatened her at knifepoint. Finch searched the property as the women handed over £160 in cash. The pair then left and travelled to Northampton.

In Northampton, Finch and Munir forced entry into another Air BnB occupied by two women in their twenties. Munir strangled and dragged one victim, demanding money, and subsequently sexually assaulted both women using weapons. Finch searched the property during the assault.

The victims escaped by running into the road wrapped in bedsheets. Finch and Munir stole around £1,500 in cash and two iPhones before fleeing. Thames Valley Police arrested Finch on 7 February 2025 and charged him the following day.

The trial at Reading Crown Court concluded on 9 September 2025, with Finch found guilty by unanimous jury verdict of three counts of robbery. On 18 November 2025, he was sentenced to eight years' imprisonment.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Samantha Le Jeune commented on the 'abhorrent offences' committed, noting the victims' courage and the police's resolve to hold such offenders accountable.
